what is the 200% yield perk you talking about?

killed 225 armadillos in about 90 min and got 32 meat for a drop rate of 14.2%. Almost max luck, missing max rolls on gloves & pants.

skinner hat 5%

skinner shirt 5%

skinner gloves 5%

skinner pants 5%

skinner shoes 5%

skinning knife 9.2%

trapper's amulet 9.5%

skinning trophy x3=4.5%

savory fish cake 2%

luck's labor 5%

PVP flagged 3%

Will try again without the PVP flag to see if it's dramatically different. Curious if the previous poster was not flagged... Was aiming for 300 kills but as usual a loser wanting an easy PVP kill took me out, thereby ending the session short.

UPDATE

Have done much more extensive farming of the critters for meat. By far the single biggest impact on the amount of meat obtained is the 200% yield perk for double proc. This will DOUBLE your meat per kill but is EXTREMELY rare if not out right impossible to consistently get as almost ALL territory owning companies simply IGNORE all of the gathering buffs in favor of the crafting ones...

That being said I tested 3 initial locations to determine which was best before settling on the proper location to gather better data. Once the location was chosen I began taking notes. I was NOT PVP flagged his time and with the new changes to forts would try to get Cutlass Key's fort from time to time but not for every session. With and without it were not dramatically different.

The goal was to farm 400 meat and see how long it would take and here are the results.

Over a total of 12 session that were 40 min in length for a total of 8 hours farming 411 meat were obtained.

An average of 200 armadillo were killed per session.

That is about 4.5 kills per min.

An average of 34 meat were received per session.

That's a 17% chance to receive meat upon skinning.

Today I killed 140 armadillos and got 20xprime Armadillo Meat. It took me about 1 hours was Aiming for 200 Armadillos but ran out of time.

I also had x3 skinning trophies and full Skinning Armor 5/5 GS 625 no amulet, food buff and a knife with luck.

Drop rate was 14%.

Today i killed 200 armadillos and got 23xPrime Armadillo Meat it took me about 1h15min!

I had 3 max trophies, full skinning gear (5/5 with 625GS) amulet (625GS), food buff and knife with luck!

The drop rate is between 10% and 13% this way!

Is it just me or you have to destroy his shield first and then kill him in order to get the prime armadillo meat. Every time I one hit him I just get scaly hide.
